Chocolate and mint are a perfect combination and come together beautifully in this delicious raw smoothie recipe.
This smoothie makes a great nourishing breakfast or snack and is great as a pre-workout meal. The raw cacao gives a boost of energy while the avocado and coconut provide healthy fats and a long-lasting fuel supply so that you can keep up your stamina. It also contains a healthy dose of green leafy vegetables to increase alkalinity, which enhances recovery.
Apart from all of these benefits, this smoothie simply tastes wonderful. The following recipe makes about three servings. Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge for a day or two, if it lasts that long
Ingredients:
1 avocado
3 large bananas
50 grams cacao beans (about 1/4 cup)
1 tablespoon carob powder
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
1.5 tablespoons coconut oil
1 handful mint leaves
1 cup romaine lettuce
2 tablespoons raw honey or agave (to taste)
1-2 cups water
1 cup ice
Method:
Place all ingredients in high speed blender and combine until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and enjoy! If you like you can garnish with some fresh mint leaves.

Sorry you didn’t like it. Most people I know who tried it have enjoyed this one but if you didn’t I would recommend trying it without the avocado. Sometimes avocados can vary a lot in their flavor and texture. Adding some extra honey or agave can also help.
