Lemonade Diet/Master Cleanse
The lemonade diet, also known as the master cleanse has been popularized recently due to its use by celebrities – including Beyonce and Jared Leto – as a way to rapidly lose weight. While it is certainly effective for this purpose it was originally designed as a detox diet for eliminating toxins from the body.
The master cleanse involves drinking 6-12 glasses a day of a special fresh lemonade recipe containing lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. It is generally recommended to do the lemonade diet for at least ten days.
